Elephants are a symbol of Thailand. They are very important part of Thai life. Even the country is in the shape of an elephant's head. In the past, elephants were used for labor and transportation of goods much like horses in the West. Today, elephants are rarely needed for work. However, they are still highly revered by Thai people and a visit to Hua Hin deserves a ride on a Hua Hin elephant.

Elephants are extremely agile for their size. They can walk along narrow paths through a jungle and climb steep hills without loosing their balance.
