Flights to Hua Hin

Hua hin does have its own airport, but flights are extremely limited. Current flight service is handled by SGA airlines with three daily flights to Huahin from Bangkok. Flight time is only 50 minutes in a 12 seat Cessna Grand Caravan. Therefore, the number of passengers that can fly to Hua Hin each week is only 252 persons. Due to the limited number of available seats, many tourists arrange transport via airport taxi in Bangkok.

Hua Hin airport is a small international airport in Prachuabkirikan province. The airport is located 5 miles from Hua Hin town and approximately 2 miles from the Royal Palace . The airport is under the management of Department of Civil Aviation. Other than the SGA daily flights to Huahin, there are many activities in the airport, such as royal rainmaking activities under the king’s patronage as well as a commercial pilot training activities under the Civil Aviation Training Center.

SGA Airlines

SGA (Siam General Aviation) is a commuter airline that provides flights to small towns with low traffic demand. Huahin is one of these charming destinations. SGA assumes flight frequency suitable to serve Huahin. The flight to Huahin is scenic thanks to the low flight altitude and the gorgeous Thai landscape. Besides the scheduled flights to Huahin, SGA can provide independent air charter to Huahin and many other destinations in Thailand.

SGA is operated in partnership with Nok Airlines. Since the airline was founded in 2002, SGA has operated flights to Hua Hin. The following chart shows the current (until Oct 2008) flight schedule to Huahin.
