Hua Hin city hotels are right in the center of the action. Hua Hin is not a very large town, but there are a wide variety of things to do. Huahin is famous for its fresh seafood which is delivered every evening by boats returning from the ocean with their catch of the day. If you stay in a Huahin city hotel, you will be able to walk most places. The town area has everything you need during your family holiday. There are many different restaurants, grocery stores and tour operators within walking distance from your hotel.

Takiab beach is several miles south of town. There are a growing number of restaurants, conveniences stores and beach resorts in Hua Hin near Takiab beach. However, it is too far to walk from your Takiab Beach hotel into town. Many hotels provide shuttle service into Hua Hin, but then you have less freedom to follow your own schedule. We prefer to stay in the Takiab beach area, but we usually drive our own vehicle so transportation into town is not an issue.

Cha-Am is north of Hua Hin. It has some nice hotels, but it is more isolated. The beach around Cha Am is great for sunbathing and building sandcastles. But if you stay in one of the Cha Am hotels, you will need to have transportation to get into Hua Hin.

There are beach resorts in Hua Hin that will fit in any family budget. The oldest and classiest beach resort in Hua Hin is the Sofitel in the center of Hua Hin town. We like to stay near Takiab beach in a resort that has only basic services but allows us to stay in our limited budget. Hua Hin is an excellent location for your next beach holiday.
